Data Systems Design and Development (DSDD)
Carbon Dioxide Information Analysis Center (CDIAC)

DSDD provides support for the design, development, and administration of the CDIAC Computing System Network (CCSN). The CCSN provides CDIAC with all the computing resources needed to perform the data analysis, storage, and delivery functions central to the operation of CDIAC. Tommy Nelson is the task leader of CDIAC Computing Systems Development. Tommy provides matrix management and technical expertise to develop and manage this network. The CCSN is comprised of 15 Sun workstations, a dozen PCs, over 65 Gigabytes of disk storage that is home to CDIAC's world-renowned data, and a suite of software used in the analysis, and preparation of CDIAC products. In addition, DSDD staff are resposible for the design and development of CDIAC's critical Data Delivery Systems:
