Development of High-Resoution Daytime Population Estimates for US Ports

The project deals with a model the select urban/metropolitan areas associated with each port location to produce an estimate population for each port. This will utilize the collected data such as US Census data, and land use and transportation data. TSA provide ORNL with a complete listing of port facilities for which population estimate are to be generated. The list includes facility name, x-coordinate, and y-coordinate demonstrate the geographic location of each site. Using TSA data refine daytime population estimate for each of the 362 port facilities.
