Information about Ross Toedte
Ross J. Toedte is a research
staff member in the National Center for Computational Sciences at Oak Ridge
National Laboratory. His principle interests are scientific visualization,
immersive environments, and science communication. He has worked in the field of
scientific visualization for over 15 years on a diverse range of visualization
projects including dense computational grids of simulated stellar explosions,
magnetic properties in atomic-scale alloys, and carbon cycle calculations in
global climate change. He is a co-principle investigator of the TeraScale
Supernova Initiative funded by DOE's Office of Science under the SciDAC program,
co-principle investigator of a project developing distributed visualization
techniques for high-volume computational science data under the Computational
Science Initiative, and a member of
ACM-SIGGRAPH.
