My name is Kenroy Williamson and I am a senior Computer Information Systems major with a minor in Business Administration at Florida A & M University. I am from Jamaica but I live in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This summer I participated in the Research Alliance for Math and Science (RAMS) program at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. My 11 weeks internship was in Modeling and Simulation in which I develop a software library for constructing the dynamic pieces of a traffic simulation. I worked close with mentor, Dr. Jim Nutaro, who taught me everything I now know about modeling and simulation, software engineering and discrete event systems.

My long term goals are attend graduate school and becoming a Software Engineering. After graduate school I plan on opening a computer consultant firm that will provide software assistance and computer training to those who desire. My contact information is listed at the bottom or you look at my resume.

My intern experience was great, I start out with a lot of literature. My first book was Theory of Modeling and Simulation by Bernard Zeigler. My mentor sat me down and try to teach me as much as possible about Discrete Event Systems. My first major assisgnment was to write the code and explain the fire spread model in C++. We then moved on to more details in my research, which can be viewed on my research page. I wrote a scientific abstract  and a research paper which will published in Department of Energy Intern book. I also created this website, a poster and powerpoint presentation which I had to present to the DOE sponsors.
